Step 3
Desk Adjuster Review (1–2 Weeks)
- The field report is submitted to a desk adjuster.
- The estimate is reviewed and finalized.
- Timeline depends on insurance claim volume.
Step 4
Initial Estimate & First Payment (ACV)
- You receive an estimate showing Actual Cash Value (ACV).
- First payment includes partial RCV, minus depreciation and deductible (your responsibility).
Step 5
Receiving the ACV Payment (7–10 Days)
- Mailed checks arrive within 7–10 business days.
- Direct deposits arrive within 24–48 hours.
Step 6
Mortgage Company Endorsement (If Required)
- Mortgage companies must endorse insurance checks.
- Processing typically takes 2–2.5 weeks.
Step 7
Starting & Completing Repairs
- Work begins once funds are available.
- Roof replacements usually take one day.
- Additional trades are completed shortly after.
Step 8
Final Invoice & Supplementation
- Final invoice submitted after completion.
- Supplement requests filed if additional work was required.
Step 9
Final Payment (1–3 Weeks)
- Insurance reviews final documentation.
- Depreciation reimbursement is issued.
